One of the South West's premier Fire and Security Engineering company, with over 35 years of expertise, they are proud to be NSI Gold and BAFE approved, specialising in the design, installation, service, and maintenance of fire, safety, and security systems.

They are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fire and Security Service Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves working across a wide variety of fire and security systems, ensuring the highest standards of service and safety. It also offers clear career progression opportunities into senior positions as the company expands. Majority of work within one hour of Bristol, so minimum travelling expected.

The Fire and Security Engineer Role

They are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fire and Security Engineer to join their expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of systems and technologies, with clear career progression towards senior positions.

Fire and Security Engineer Key Responsibilities:
  • Service, maintain, fault–find, and commission fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company on–site.
  • Complete detailed documentation and reports in a timely manner.
  • Uphold high standards and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Respond flexibly to reasonable requests from management and support company goals.
Fire and Security Engineer Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and network/IP–based products.
  • Adaptable, collaborative approach with good IT skills.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning, professional development, and career growth.
Fire and Security Engineer Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience with systems such as Honeywell Gent, Morley, Notifier, Advanced, Kentec, Fireclass & ASD.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell Galaxy & Texecom intruder alarms.
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems (Hik–Vision, Bosch, IDIS).
  • Knowledge of Access Control systems (Salto, Paxton, etc.).
Fire and Security Engineer Qualifications / Certifications
  • FIA, IPAF, PASMA, ECS (training available if not already held).
Fire and Security Engineer Salary & Benefits:
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience.
  • Additional compensation for call out rota, call outs and overtime.
