A leading engineering firm in Slough is seeking an enthusiastic Fire & Security Systems Installation Engineer for a permanent full-time role. You will be installing and maintaining fire detection and security systems, including alarms and intercoms. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting abilities and good knowledge of health and safety regulations. A clean UK driving license is required. Fire & Security Systems Installation Engineer

Starting Salary: Circa £35k‑£45k

Type: Full‑time | Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Innotech Partners is collaborating with an established contractor that specialises in design, installation and maintenance services for electrical, heating, plumbing, fire and security systems. We are seeking an enthusiastic Lead Fire Alarm and Security Systems Installation Engineer to join on a permanent full‑time basis.

The standard hours are 40 hours a week Monday‑Friday, with plentiful overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Installation of fire detection and security alarm systems, including emergency lighting, remote monitoring, intruder alarms, access controls, intercoms and nurse call systems.
  • Maintain and provide ongoing reactive maintenance.
  • Support customers and wider company operations, sales, administration and operations as required.
  • Observe and adhere to company Health & Safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Basic programming knowledge related to the above systems is advantageous; training can be provided.
  • Specific product knowledge of manufacturers such as Gent, Advanced Electronics, HAES, Kentec, Hochiki, Apollo, Vesda, Airsense, Honeywell, Paxton, Control Soft, Videcon, Hikvision is desired.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, identify and suggest appropriate actions for fire detection and alarm systems maintenance.
  • Proven experience working in domestic and commercial environments.
  • City & Guilds 236 parts 1+2 electrical installation or equivalent; 17th/18th Edition Electrical qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Clean, valid UK driving licence.
  • Adaptable, comfortable solving problems autonomously and not reliant on a daily routine.
  • Respect for health and safety of self, colleagues and customers.
