Overview

Fixfire® (Avansys LLP) is seeking a talented, enthusiastic and passionate engineer to join our team as a Systems Service Engineer. The role is full-time and permanent with enhanced security screening to be undertaken. Typical work is based in the Midlands and surrounding area with opportunities to work across diverse environments and industries.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned annual and intermediate service/maintenance of fire alarm, emergency lighting, nurse call systems and any associated equipment.
  • Take part in the on-call rota, attending unscheduled callouts out of hours and ensuring customers have access to support.
  • Attend emergency and other non-routine service calls as required.
  • Carry out remedial works as required.
  • Deliver services in an efficient and cost-effective manner whilst maintaining the Company's quality standards.
  • Certify your work in accordance with the requirements of BS5839:1:2017 or other such relevant standards as may be in force.
  • Previous experience maintaining life & property protection systems or similar electrical systems.
  • A good working knowledge of Fire Alarm and similar systems, holding appropriate qualifications in the industry.
  • Experience with Door Access Control, Nurse Call, Intruder Alarms & CCTV systems would also be advantageous but not a necessity.
  • Knowledge of Advanced, Protec, Morley, Gent and patient call systems would also be advantageous.
