Job summary

Amida Consulting Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Systems Installation and Commissioning Engineer to join its projects across the UK. You will install, test and commission fire alarm, detection, emergency lighting and related systems on commercial, industrial and residential sites.

You will read drawings, produce certificates and handover reports, liaise with clients and site managers, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience installing and commissioning fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266 and fire-safety regulations.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with different fire alarm panels.
Full UK driving licence.
ECS or CSCS card; FIA training would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Install, test and commission fire alarm, detection and emergency lighting systems.
Read drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams; complete commissioning certificates and reports.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues on site; liaise with clients and site managers.
Support projects through to successful completion and provide system operation guidance.
Maintain high health and safety standards on all sites.
