Responsibilities

  • Commission and service addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and remedial works.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs to industry standards.
  • Liaise confidently with site managers, clients, and internal teams.

Overview

Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: Midlands-based (with occasional wider travel)

Salary: Circa £35k + overtime (DOE)

About the Role: We\'re a fast-growing, family-run fire and security company with a strong reputation for quality and reliability. Due to continued growth, we\'re looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team. This mobile role involves commissioning, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial sites.

You\'ll be working independently and collaboratively, representing our company with professionalism and care. If you\'re passionate about high standards and want to be part of a close-knit team that values your expertise, we\'d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Commission and service addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and remedial works
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs to industry standards
  • Complete job sheets, service reports, and certification documentation
  • Liaise confidently with site managers, clients, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with BS 5839-1:2025 and health & safety regulations
  • Provide onsite guidance to installation teams when required
What We\'re Looking For
  • 5+ years\' experience in the fire alarm industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Gent, Kentec, Morley, Apollo, Advanced systems
  • Proven ability to fault-find independently
  • Full UK driving licence
  • ECS/CSCS card and FIA/Level 3 qualifications (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
