Fire Alarm & Suppression Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per year

About the Role
This is a varied and exciting position working across the full spectrum of fire suppression and fire alarm systems. The role is ideal for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer who is looking to develop their expertise in both the electrical and mechanical aspects of fire suppression technology.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out installation, commissioning, small works and servicing of fire alarm systems and fixed extinguishing systems across a portfolio of high-profile UK sites.
- Leading projects electrically, working closely with the Project Manager while supporting and overseeing junior engineers.
- Commissioning completed installations to ensure systems meet required standards and operate effectively.
- Demonstrating solid technical experience with main building fire alarm systems.
- Working with leading system manufacturers—certifications are advantageous, and further manufacturer training will be provided.
- Servicing, installing and commissioning conventional and addressable fire systems; experience with GENT systems is beneficial.
- Applying knowledge of both open and closed protocols.
- Utilising existing experience in a similar role within the fire alarm sector.
- Beneficial qualifications include 17th Edition and FIA Units 1-3.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' fire alarm experience (essential)
- Strong installation background
- Experience servicing, installing and commissioning both conventional and addressable systems
- Knowledge of GENT products is advantageous
- Commissioning experience beneficial
- Experience with open and closed protocol systems
- Full UK driving licence (required)
