Multitask Personnel are looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer to join a the Facilities Management division with a leading building services contractor.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Install, commission, test, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems to BS 5839 standards.
- Diagnose and repair system faults quickly and efficiently.
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and compliance checks.
- Complete accurate service reports, certificates, and electronic logs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients on compliance and system operation.
- Respond to reactive call-outs and participate in the on-call rota.
- Prepare quotes for installation and repair works, detailing materials and labour.
- Ensure company vehicles are stocked, tools maintained, and health & safety protocols followed.
- Build strong relationships through professional communication and top-tier service.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician/Engineer.
- BS 5839-1 Level 3 qualification (minimum).
- FIA, BAFE, or equivalent industry-recognised certifications.
- Strong working knowledge of systems from Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Hochiki, Apollo, etc.
- Good understanding of UK fire safety regulations and British Standards.
- Competent in the use of test equipment and interpreting wiring diagrams.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and able to work independently.
Desirable
- ECS/CSCS card.
- Experience with emergency lighting and other life safety systems.ECS/CSCS card.

- CAFM system knowledge.
