A leading water company in South West London is seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer to manage installations and assessments across multiple sites. The ideal candidate has experience in electrical standards and holds a BS 5839-1 certification. This role offers up to £55,000 annually, car allowance, and benefits including 26 days of holiday, and pension contributions. A full driving license and own transport are mandatory.
As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will assist the Lead Project Engineer in delivering all aspects of fire alarm installs (minor and major works). Most importantly, you will report the progress and standard of the work in progress before handing over. The applicant must have strong installation knowledge, including electrical standards (especially containment) and Fire Standards to BS 5839 Pt 1.
This role will lead to carrying out fire alarm risk assessments/requirements (HSP 12) upon request across many of Thames Water's sites. In-house training will be provided to support the engineer to progress further towards a Project Engineer role, undertaking all aspects of Health & Safety management for your portfolio of projects.
Your base location will be within South West London. This role will require you to travel to multiple sites, depending on the project that you are working on. You will be required to have a full driving licence, access to your vehicle and insurance to cover work travel. You will receive a car allowance, which is paid monthly.
Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
