Job summary

Progroup Recruitment Limited seeks a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer in Leeds and the surrounding Yorkshire region. You will install, commission, maintain and repair fire alarm and related life-safety systems, working independently or with an established team.

The role includes site surveys, fault-finding and contributing to customer service excellence, with compliance records, PDA reports and a standby rota. A permanent role with a salary of £40,000–£45,000 plus vehicle and package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with active fire alarm and intruder alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of life safety systems and electrical circuits.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Great customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of fire alarm and associated systems.
• Basic fault finding and technical troubleshooting.
• Preventative maintenance and field modifications.
• Completing site surveys and identifying opportunities for additional works.
• Maintaining service records, PDA reports and compliance documentation.
• Managing customer relationships and providing a high standard of service.
• Ensuring tools and test equipment are maintained and calibrated.
• Working in line with Health & Safety and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting identification of new contract and system sales opportunities.
• Participating in the out-of-hours standby and call-out rota.
