Job summary

A global testing inspection and certification company in the UK is seeking a FIRAS Inspector to join the team. You will be responsible for conducting site inspections and providing technical advice to clients. The ideal candidate should possess experience in passive fire protection and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities

You will be conducting and organising :

  • Applicant installer companies
  • Sampled Site Inspections
  • Competency assessments of supervisors technicians and operatives employed by FIRAS certified companies
  • Document Report and outcome of findings from client visits
  • Ensuring all clients and enquirers receive sound technical advice in regards to scheme Rules and Regulations
Skills / Qualifications
  • Experience at a technical level in passive fire protection either with a contractor product manufacturer or testing and approval body
  • Ability to work in a customer-facing role
  • Previous exposure to any of the following; structural steel boarding fire rated ducting glazing partition systems penetration roller shutter doors cementitious spray fire doors cavity barriers intumscent paint
  • Knowledge of MS Office Products (Teams Word Excel Outlook) and mobile / laptop devices
  • Good general education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • On-site inspection experience
  • Be able to prioritise organise and coordinate your workload
  • This is a work from home contract
  • Ideally based in the South East or North West of London area (Watford / Luton / High Wycombe / Oxford / Reading / Cambridge)
  • Clean driving license and full UK passport
