Job summary

Insignis Cash in London is seeking a senior information security engineer to join and shape the security culture. You will report to the CTO, partner with compliance and risk, and lead hands-on strategy from day one, expanding as the business grows.

Responsibilities include owning the security architecture across Azure and Kubernetes, driving ISO 27001, managing risk registers and policy suites, guiding threat modelling, incident response, and third-party security.

Qualifications

• Experience leading information security in a regulated financial services or fintech environment.
• Strong working knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements (SYSC, operational resilience).
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud-native security on Azure and modern identity architectures.
• Proven delivery of ISO 27001 certification or equivalent ISMS framework.

Responsibilities

• Own information security strategy, aligned to FCA requirements, ISO 27001, and risk appetite.
• Chair security groups; prepare materials for board and risk committees.
• Lead ISO 27001 programme including audit readiness and continual improvement.
• Define and enforce security architecture across Azure-native, Kubernetes-based platform.
• Lead threat modelling, penetration testing, vulnerability management, identity governance.
• Drive security for AI/ML, crypto-agility, and third-party risk management.
