Job summary

AccessPay, a Manchester-based fintech, is seeking an Internal Auditor to deliver the internal audit schedule and support external audits, helping maintain certifications. The role sits in the GSI team and collaborates with Compliance, Assurance, Internal IT and Cyber Security.

The position is permanent, hybrid (1–2 days in Manchester office), with a salary up to £40,000 per year depending on experience. You will work across governance, risk and control frameworks.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in auditing, including planning and conducting audits, and reporting on findings.
• Autonomous, self-starting approach with sound judgement and ownership of deliverables.
• Willingness to embrace challenges and question established ways of working.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly across business functions, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, scope and carry out internal audits in line with the annual audit schedule.
• Identify findings and get to the root cause, then write clear, high-impact audit reports with executive summaries.
• Track remediation of audit issues and follow up to confirm completion.
• Coordinate cross-functional audits with Technology, HR, Cyber Security and Internal IT.
• Support external audits and assessments to maintain industry certifications.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Assist in managing the employee screening process and related governance.
