A precision manufacturing firm in Wakefield is seeking a Finisher/Turner. The role involves working with lathes to produce precision plastic components. Job description

Talent-UK are for a Finisher/Turner on behalf of their client, a successful manufacturer in precision plastic moulding solutions on a Temp to Perm basis - the role is full time working 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Basic responsibilities are:

• Receive works order with dimensions etc and/or a drawing to work from.
• Chisel, shape and turn the wood to fit component (chuck)
• Removing flashings from components and diaphragms from seals
• Mount the component onto a piece of wood
• Taking excess from component to fit specifications
• Turn the component to finish to the required standard
• Working by hand with a close attention to detail
• Oversee the setting up on lathes
• Any other duties as reasonably required.

Looking for someone who is experienced with Lathes and the absolute ideal would be someone who has worked in plastics manufacturing before.
