Job summary

Harbour Energy plc is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our UK finance team. You will perform balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, manage prepayments and accruals, and oversee VAT payments and VAT returns for a subsidiary.

You will handle inter-company queries and audits, maintain the fixed asset register, and calculate depreciation and other adjustments. Harbour Energy is committed to inclusive recruitment and will provide adjustments during the selection process.

As the Financial Accountant within this team you will be responsible for:

• Balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, including taxes for a subsidiary company within our clients group
• Calculation and posting of prepayments and accruals
• Monthly VAT payments on account to HMRC
• Quarterly reconciliation and completion of VAT Return for the subsidiary
• Dealing with inter-company queries and audit requests
• Maintenance of fixed asset register, calculation and posting of depreciation and other adjustments
