Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a qualified lawyer with expertise in OTC derivatives to provide regulatory guidance to their sales & trading division. You will advise on UK/EU regulations, including MiFID II, and assist in implementing regulatory changes. The ideal candidate has significant experience in transactional work and a strong understanding of product structures for EMEA distribution.

Job description

The postholder will provide coverage to the sales & trading division, advising on a range of transactional and regulatory issues. You will be required to guide the business on the scope and impact of both new and existing UK/EU regulations (including MiFID II), as well as working closely with teams across the business to successfully implement plans for regulatory change. The remit will also include making a contribution to transactional work and advising on product structures for EMEA distribution.

The position requires a qualified lawyer who has significant experience in OTC derivatives across a broad range of asset classes or securitised derivatives (such as CLNs or retail structured products). It would also be a significant advantage for applicants to have worked on regulatory change for the sales/trading divisions of a financial institution.
