Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a qualified accountant to manage Group IFRS reporting, liaise with external auditors, and coordinate statutory accounts across multiple entities. The role involves preparing UK subsidiary statutory accounts, reviewing forecasts, and driving improvements in financial reporting, including M&A projects.

The ideal candidate has ACA/ACCA, strong IFRS knowledge, and experience with multi-entity and multi-currency environments, with Big 4 exposure preferred.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA and strong IFRS knowledge.
  • Experience preparing UK subsidiary accounts in complex organisations.
  • External audit or statutory reporting experience; Big 4 preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge including subsidiaries, JVs and JOs.
  • Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency reporting.
  • Knowledge of FTSE reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and process-improvement skills.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex issues and develop practical solutions.

Ensuring financial statements are compliant with financial policies and regulatory standards, whilst driving an efficient audit process. The role will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the accounting for joint ventures and operations across the group, preparing notes to feed into the group financial statements, managing the month end for a number of entities, preparation and external audit of subsidiary stat accounts and other ad hoc projects,
