Job description

Ready to lead a game-changing transformation? Are you ready to join a complex, multi-entity organisation? Can you stay ahead of evolving regulatory requirements whilst driving continuous improvement in reporting processes? Join us as Director of Financial Reporting and take charge of integration, streamlining legacy processes, and building a future‑ready reporting function powered by AI and efficiency. You will lead the integration and process of financial reporting, streamlining legacy systems and building a robust reporting function for internal and external stakeholders. Based at our Head Office in Northampton office on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite) with occasional travel to other sites. This is a unique opportunity to drive optimisation, process improvement, and transformation while coaching and building a high‑performing team. This is a full‑time permanent position. You'll be working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

Responsibilities
  • Lead and shape the financial reporting function, delivering accurate, timely internal and external reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Prepare and present complex financial insights, ensuring clarity and impact in board‑level presentations and audits
  • Drive integration and process redesign, consolidating fragmented legacy systems into streamlined, efficient workflows
  • Coach and inspire a large controllership team, while building out a new high‑performing reporting team of around six specialists
Qualifications
  • Champion innovation and optimisation, embedding AI and automation to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting leadership, including internal/external reporting, audits, and compliance
  • Strong people management and change leadership skills, with experience guiding large teams through transformation
  • Technical proficiency in Oracle, HFM consolidation tools, and deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and FRS standards
  • Professional qualification (ACCA or ACA) and a track record of delivering reporting excellence in complex environments
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to influence senior stakeholders and articulate insights clearly
