Financial Reporting Assistant Manager – Manchester (Hybrid)

A prominent UK organisation is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager to join its central finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA accountant who enjoys technical reporting, complex group structures and working with senior stakeholders.

The Role

You will play a key part in producing high-quality interim and year-end consolidated financial statements under IFRS, along with statutory accounts for a broad portfolio of legal entities under FRS 102. The position supports a well‑established financial reporting team and works closely with senior finance leaders across the group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of half‑year and full‑year group financial statements.
  • Deliver statutory accounts for 40+ entities under FRS 102.
  • Provide high‑quality technical accounting advice across IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Support commercial and divisional finance teams on accounting impacts of business activity.
  • Develop and maintain group accounting policies and support financial governance.
  • Contribute to technical training initiatives across the wider finance community.
What You’ll Bring
  • ACA qualification with up to two years’ post‑qualification experience.
  • Strong technical grounding in IFRS and FRS 102.
  • Confident working to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Strong Excel capability; knowledge of SAP systems is advantageous.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and best‑practice reporting.
