A leading financial market infrastructure provider in London seeks a Financial Reporting professional on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves managing statutory financial reporting and collaborating across finance teams. Ideal candidates are qualified accountants with strong analytical and communication skills, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. This role is within the Financial Reporting team which is responsible for the main statutory and financial reporting obligations within the wider EMEA Finance team across TP ICAP, particularly the statutory reporting for all the legal entities within the EMEA region. This role is focussed on ensuring all statutory reporting obligations are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. This role offers the opportunity to actively contribute to a range of Finance-related projects and initiatives. It's a hands‑on finance position that requires a self‑driven professional with exceptional communication, organisational, managerial, and analytical abilities. Being able to work efficiently whilst ensuring a quality and controlled delivery of information is paramount. Collaboration with various other functions within the finance department will be a significant aspect of this role.
This opportunity is being hired on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis.
Manage the delivery of annual financial statements for EMEA controlled entities.
Compile and review accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. IFRS and UK GAAPp>
Assist in drafting technical papers for approval to support accounting decisions.
Assist with year end and interim audits including communication with external auditors.
Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies for financial reporting and disclosures.
Provide input into the development of reporting systems, controls and finance automation of current BAU processes.
Preparation of high quality regular and ad hoc financial information, applying critical evaluation and making recommendations suitable for senior management.
Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and apply them appropriately.
Build strong working relationships across wider Finance team including Tax, Treasury and the Company Secretarial team.
Qualified accountant (ACA / CA / ACCA or equivalent) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience in a similar position.
Strong understanding and technical knowledge of accounting principles, UK GAAP and IFRS as well as capacity to quickly understand the differences of other local GAAPs.
Self‑motivated individual, taking responsibility and ownership in delivering high quality work within set deadlines.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Demonstrates a risk and controls mindset, ensuring deliverables are documented appropriately.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experience in navigating various accounting systems for efficient data management and reporting.
Experience in dealing with internal and external auditors and handling audit requests.
Understanding and implementation of new and existing technical accounting standards.
Experience in managing small teams, including training and development of junior staff.
Experience of working in or with financial services businesses regulated by the FCA.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, Onestream) and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with multi‑currency ledgers and complex consolidations.
Commercial mindset, with the ability to identify problems, propose and implement solutions.
Experience in finance automation delivering new reporting requirements and process change.
