Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with project accounting experience.
• Experience working in a project-related environment.
• SAP experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with project managers to meet financial objectives and support bids.
• Review project costs, commitments and forecasts with the project team.
• Provide management accounting data according to the reporting schedule.
• Manage customer financial reporting and interactions for bids and projects.
• Coordinate across functions to resolve queries and ensure data quality.
• Lead finance on bidding activities, reviewing bid costings.
• Assist bid managers with bid presentation packs.

Financial Project Controller – About The Role

In this role you will be working within a medium sized finance team and will be reporting into the Financial Project Control Manager. You will be ensuring the effective financial control of various designated projects & bids. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Working closely with project managers to ensure financial objectives are met and to play a key role within the project decision making process.
• Regular review of project actual costs, commitments and forecasts with the project team.
• Providing required management accounting project data according to the reporting schedule of the business.
• Management of all customers financial reporting requirements & interaction with customers financial/reporting tools for both bids and projects.
• Work across functions to resolve queries, mitigate issues and ensure project data is of the highest quality.
• Operate as finance lead on bidding activities, involving reviewing & validating the bid costings.
• Assist bid managers with bid presentation pack preparation.

The successful Financial Project Controller will have:

• Previous experience in a similar position
• Experience within a project-related environment
• Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• SAP experience is desirable
