Job summary

Atomos Investments Limited is offering a structured pathway for a current Financial Planning professional to grow into a Financial Planner. You will gain hands-on client exposure, work with the Head of Office, and be mentored as you develop technical skills in complex planning scenarios.

Over a 2+ year development period you will learn to engage clients, expand your professional network, and contribute to lead generation while using AI-driven systems to enhance analysis and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Level 4 qualified (through CII) in Financial Planning.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning processes and client service.
  • Technical capability across pensions, tax, cashflow modelling, and financial planning research.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Xplan) and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and handle requests promptly.
  • Prepare for, attend, and follow up on client meetings with post-meeting actions.
  • Review existing financial plans to ensure they meet client needs.
  • Write financial planning reports as part of onboarding.
  • Review suitability reports and provide technical input for meetings.
  • Prepare detailed cashflow reports.
  • Liaise with admin and paraplanning teams to progress work.
  • Support occasional suitability report writing during peak periods.
  • Attend networking events and build your professional profile.
  • Use AI-driven systems (including Saturn) to support analysis and workflow.

You’re already working in Financial Planning and are ready for a role that genuinely develops you into an adviser. You want hands‑on client exposure, meaningful technical work, and a clear pathway to becoming a Financial Planner within a growing, ambitious firm.


About the role

This role is centred around client relationship management and adviser development. You will work closely with the Head of Office, gaining exposure to high‑net‑worth clients and complex planning scenarios.


Over an expected 2+ years' development period, you will be mentored and coached directly by the Head of Office and Financial Planners. You will build the practical skills required to succeed, including how to engage and advise clients, develop your professional network, and contribute to lead generation, preparing you for a successful transition into an adviser role.


Accountabilities


  • Manage day‑to‑day client relationships, ensuring all requests are handled promptly and proactively.


  • Prepare for, attend, and follow up on client meetings, ensuring all post‑meeting actions are completed.


  • Review existing financial plans to ensure they continue to meet client needs.


  • Write financial planning reports as part of the onboarding process.


  • Review suitability reports and provide technical input for client meetings.


  • Prepare detailed cashflow reports.

This is an integral role offering exceptional exposure, development, and mentorship. You will be supported through our Junior Financial Planner pathway, giving you a structured and achievable route to becoming an adviser.


Skills and Experience


  • Level 4 qualified (through CII) in Financial Planning.


  • Strong understanding of financial planning processes and client service.


  • Technical capability across pensions, tax, cashflow modelling, and financial planning research.


  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients.


  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.


  • Experience with CRM systems (we use Xplan) and strong Excel skills.
