EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re looking for a motivated Financial Performance Analyst to join our Commercial team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Business Partner, you’ll provide financial and commercial insight that supports key decisions across Severn Trent and our partner Water Companies.

You’ll play an important role in managing revenue and bad debt reporting, preparing budgets and forecasts, and maintaining strong relationships with Other Water Companies. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative team, gain exposure to senior stakeholders, and make a real impact.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing the Other Water Company (OWC) revenue and bad debt model
  • Building strong working relationships with OWCs
  • Reviewing OWC forecasts and submissions for budgets and regulatory reporting
  • Leading bad debt modelling and supporting revenue planning
  • Completing month‑end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Acting as the main contact for audit queries
  • Providing insightful analysis on variances, risks and opportunities
  • Preparing clear monthly forecasts
  • Creating and delivering presentations
  • Supporting ad hoc financial modelling and analysis
  • Potential ownership of Hafren Dyfrdwy revenue reporting

You’ll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
  • Experience in a financial analyst role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex information
  • Excellent communication with confidence to challenge and influence
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Highly organised and able to manage deadlines
  • Commercial awareness and good financial judgement
