Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence seeks an experienced Financial Modeller for a 6-month hybrid contract requiring Active SC Clearance. The role focuses on building, maintaining and assuring robust financial, cost and investment appraisal models to support programme decisions.

The candidate will translate complex technical requirements into clear financial outputs, perform scenario and sensitivity analyses, and present findings to governance forums. Hybrid; Inside IR35.

Qualifications

Financial Modeller (Contract) - Hybrid | Active SC Clearance | 6-Month Contract | Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Financial Modeller to develop, maintain, and assure robust financial, cost, and investment appraisal models supporting complex programmes and strategic decision-making. Working closely with finance, commercial, programme, and technical stakeholders, you will provide analytical insight for business cases, investment decisions, commercial evaluations, and value-for-money assessments.

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in developing transparent, auditable financial models, conducting scenario and sensitivity analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and validating financial assumptions and datasets. You will be responsible for translating complex technical and operational requirements into clear financial outputs and presenting findings to governance and decision‑making forums.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Advanced Excel financial modelling, including complex formulae, structured workbook design, and model assurance.
