Job Description Financial Mis-Selling Solicitor

Location: Manchester (Hybrid 1 day office 4 days WFH)

Salary: DOE

Hours: Full-time

The Opportunity

We are working with a specialist law firm who are seeking an experienced Financial Mis-Selling Solicitor to join their Manchester team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex and high-value financial litigation matters in a supportive environment with a hybrid working model for excellent work-life balance.

The Role
  • Manage a caseload of financial mis-selling claims from instruction through to settlement or trial.
  • Provide clear practical advice and high-quality representation to clients.
  • Draft review and prepare legal documents including claim forms witness statements and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct negotiations with defendants insurers and other representatives to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory professional and firm standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records using the firm's case management system.
Key Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with an active practising certificate.
  • Demonstrable experience in handling financial mis-selling claims (pensions investments mortgages PPI or similar regulated products).
  • Strong knowledge of litigation processes and civil procedure rules.
  • Excellent client care and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
  • Confident communication skills both written and verbal.
  • IT proficiency including case management systems.
