A regional police force in the UK seeks a Financial Investigator for their Regional Economic Crime Team. Salary: A&S – S6, SO1 or SO2 depending on experience
The South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) is looking for Financial Investigators keen to progress their career as part of our Regional Economic Crime Team. SWROCU is a collaboration of police officers and staff from the five South West regional forces, part of a national network of nine ROCUs covering England and Wales. As part of the Regional Economic Crime Unit you will target the most serious criminals in the South West, using financial investigation tools alongside other specialist law‑enforcement tactics to gather intelligence, bring prosecutions and disrupt and dismantle organised crime groups. Your skills will be used at all stages of investigations into a wide variety of crime types that cause the most harm to our communities.
In this role you will undertake confiscation, enforcement work and Part 5 civil recovery, including crypto assets, ensuring criminals are deprived of their ill‑gotten gains by securing Confiscation Orders and tracing and realising declared and hidden assets of convicted offenders. You will provide financial evidence in support of criminal investigations and develop as a Financial Investigator by being involved in the wider activity of the Regional Economic Crime Unit.
