Job summary

Kolayo is seeking a Financial Insight Analyst in London on a hybrid basis. You will analyze client financials across revenue, sales and workforce data to provide rigorous, actionable recommendations and support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, transaction services, due diligence (FDD / CDD) or FP&A.
• Strong financial acumen: interrogating P&L, revenue recognition, and underlying numbers.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to tell a story with data and influence decisions.
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with clients.
• Commercial awareness—link insights to revenue or efficiency.
• Familiarity with SQL or BI tools is a plus; emphasis on financial rigour.

About the Role

• We're looking for a financially minded analyst to help our clients understand the numbers behind their business - not just what a dashboard shows, but whether the underlying revenue, cost, and workforce figures stand up to scrutiny
• As a Financial Insight Analyst, you'll work closely with clients using our analytics platform, applying financial rigour to their revenue, sales, and FTE data to produce recommendations leadership and investors can rely on
• This is a hybrid role combining financial analysis, consulting, and client engagement, with the opportunity to contribute to new business and strategic initiatives
• We specialise in B2B recurring managed services, professional services, and are actively growing into a wider range of markets - you'll gain exposure across sectors as we expand
• We're a small growing team, so you'll have real impact - your work reaches clients directly and shapes how the business grows

What You'll Do

• Analyse client financials - spanning revenue, sales, and workforce/FTE - to assess quality of earnings, identify risks, and surface trends
• Apply due-diligence-style scrutiny to client data: testing definitions, tracing numbers back to source, and flagging where the underlying trends don't support the headline story
• Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations that drive business performance
• Act as a trusted advisor, supporting customers to improve commercial outcomes, strengthen data quality and governance, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across your customer base
• Collaborate with the engineering team to shape product development based on client needs

Support onboarding and ongoing adoption of the platform

Review and quality-check outputs from our AI-powered analytics assistant before they reach clients

You’ll Typically work with metrics such as

• Cohort analysis
• Organic growth with/without M&A
• Quality of earnings and revenue quality analysis
• Customer sentiment
• FTE / workforce utilisation and headcount modelling

What we’re looking for

• 2–5 years' experience in a financial analysis, transaction services, due diligence (FDD / CDD) or fp&a role
• Strong financial acumen - comfortable interrogating a P&L, understanding revenue recognition, and assessing the quality behind a number, not just the number itself
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong ability to tell a story with data and influence decision-making
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging directly with clients and owning those relationships
• Commercial awareness - able to connect insights to revenue, growth, or efficiency
• Comfortable working alongside AI-powered analytics tools, with genuine interest in how they work
• Nice to have: familiarity with SQL or BI tools (e.g. Power BI) - helpful but not essential, as the emphasis here is financial rigour over data engineering
