Summary

Summary We are looking for an experienced Financial Director to build and run a reliable audit-ready in-house finance function that gives the Senior Leadership team strong commercial insight, tight control and clear visibility as TOHC (and other new divisions) scales. This person will ensure the organisation remains financially healthy, scalable and resilient by building robust processes, leading the finance team and partnering closely with senior leadership to guide growth and long-term strategy.

Since fitting out our state-of-the-art clean rooms and manufacturing facility in 2019 we have continued to invest in our infrastructure to better serve our customers and enhance operational efficiency.

What will you do

Commercial Finance & Control

  • Provide clear decision-useful reporting and insight to the SLT.
  • Strengthen financial controls and reconciliations to ensure audit-ready BAU.
  • Drive visibility of margin, working capital and profitability by product, customer and channel.

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Own month-end close, management accounts, variance analysis and SLT reporting.
  • Maintain balance sheet integrity and embed an efficient, high-quality month-end timetable.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting tools (Fathom).

Audit Leadership

  • Lead the full statutory audit process and maintain year-round audit readiness.
  • Deliver continuous improvements to audit quality and efficiency.

Cash, Treasury & Compliance

  • Produce weekly cashflow forecasts and scenario planning.
  • Oversee multi-currency bank reconciliations and own VAT, PAYE / NIC and pensions compliance.
  • Build FX exposure visibility and operate an appropriate hedging approach.

Accounts Payable, Spend Governance & Purchasing

  • Own AP workflow, supplier reconciliations and payment runs.
  • Enforce spend controls and ensure visibility of committed spend versus budget.

Revenue & E-commerce Accounting

  • Oversee e-commerce integrations and reconciliations (Shopify, Amazon, eBay, PayPal).
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition including B2B and Zoho (CRM) / Rhyno 2.0 (in-house ERP) integration.

Manufacturing Inventory & Margin

  • Build a robust product and order costing model and define costing methodology.
  • Deliver reliable gross margin reporting across product, customer and channel.
  • Maintain accurate operationally aligned costing data.

Intercompany & Multi-Entity

  • Design and implement an intercompany recharge model.
  • Define allocation drivers and deliver monthly billing journals and reconciliations.

Systems & ERP Readiness

  • Ensure finance requirements are delivered across Zoho, Rhyno 2.0 and new integrations.
  • Define finance data flows, mapping controls and reconciliation logic.
  • Shape long-term ERP architecture.

Strategic & Growth Support

  • Lead financial modelling and business cases for new divisions and capacity growth.
  • Support international readiness and advise on commercial terms where margin or cash risk is material.
What Were Looking For
  • Senior finance lead (Head of Finance / FD / FC) running the full function.
  • Proven ownership of annual statutory audit.
  • Manufacturing / inventory / COGS-heavy experience.
  • Strong cashflow and working-capital management.
  • Exposure to multi-currency banking and FX risk management / hedging (appropriate to SME scale).
  • Experience partnering on systems change (ERP / MRP / CRM or major integrations) able to translate operational processes into finance / data requirements.
  • Experience operating as a commercial partner to the SLT.
  • Familiarity with group structures / multi-entity environments (intercompany recharges, entity-level reporting, eliminations).
