Job summary

Moody's Corporation in the United Kingdom is seeking a junior data analyst to support ratings and research by validating financial data and applying MR standards.

You will collaborate with ratings and support analysts across regions, gain exposure to diverse asset classes, and contribute to data quality and process improvements. A background in finance and strong Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business/Accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and investigative skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is essential; German/Italian/French language will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Perform data intake tasks, including scrubbing and validating financial data for research and ratings.
• Apply Moody's MR's standards to data to produce inputs like indicators, ratios, charts and graphs in line with MR's methodologies.
• Review and understand financial reports, official statements and other issuer documents.
• Collaborate with ratings and support analysts to meet data capture requirements.
• Take initiative to participate in projects or process improvements.
• Complete simple deliverables such as newsletters and database maintenance.
• Be able to perform data intake exercises such as resolution of data points or mapping issues.
