Experis Scotland is seeking an experienced Architecture Lead to shape the future of a large financial services organisation’s financial crime technology landscape in Glasgow.

This senior role provides scope to influence strategy, drive technology decisions and connect compliance, risk and operations through enterprise architecture, APIs, cloud platforms and data analytics, while ensuring security, resilience and auditability in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Enterprise, Solution or Domain Architecture.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as financial services, banking, insurance or wealth management.
  • Good understanding of compliance, risk, customer lifecycle or financial crime-related processes.
  • Strong knowledge of integration architecture, APIs, cloud technologies and data platforms.
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Strategic thinker who can also dive into detail when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the target architecture for a key business-critical technology estate.
  • Design scalable integration patterns, APIs and data flows.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
  • Review existing platforms and identify opportunities to simplify, enhance or modernise the landscape.
  • Help shape the approach to AI, automation and advanced analytics.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, auditable and fit for a regulated environment.
  • Create roadmaps that balance immediate business needs with long-term strategic goals.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Architecture Lead to help shape the future of a large financial services organisation’s financial crime technology landscape. This is a senior role with the opportunity to influence strategy, drive technology decisions, and create a more connected approach across compliance, risk and operational processes.

You’ll be responsible for bringing together multiple systems, data sources and workflows into a more streamlined and effective ecosystem. The focus is on improving how teams manage customer onboarding, screening, monitoring, risk assessment and case management, while also helping to prepare the business for increased automation and AI adoption.

What you’ll be doing
  • Defining and owning the target architecture for a key business‑critical technology estate.
  • Designing scalable integration patterns, APIs and data flows.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
