A growing group of companies in Wakefield is looking for a Financial Controller who will oversee the financial operations and reporting. This role requires an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified individual with significant experience managing a finance team and strong business acumen. The position offers a salary of £36,000 to £40,000 per annum, hybrid working options, and a variety of benefits including private medical insurance and a pension scheme.

Reporting to (and deputising for when needed) the Finance Director, you will be number 2 in finance overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and partnering with the executive management team and functional areas to identify and execute on strategic initiatives.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the day to day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting along with business partnering with the senior management team and assisting with planning strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) technically strong FM/FC with experience of managing a finance team and a high level of financial acumen with the ability to analyse complex financial data to support decision making.
