Qualifications

  • Partly qualified as accountant, full qualification as charted accountant is not needed.
  • Accounting understanding and ability to analyse financial reports.
  • Experience in SAP and preferably in SAP BI / Analysis for Office and Onestream.
  • Good understanding of IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Strong skills in Excel.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work under time pressure with many stakeholders.
  • Ability to make decisions and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Preparation and assistance with the year-end close and audit.
  • Support to and follow-up with countries on accounting issues.
  • Controlling of the financial registrations performed by the bookkeeping department.
  • Supporting the PTP and OTC functions.
  • Payment processing in SAP and in the banking system.
  • VAT reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within UK, Ireland and the EMEA region.
  • Implement and measure internal controls.
  • Profitability and performance analysis.

Financial Controller UK and Ireland

Nilfisk is a leading global player within development, production, distribution and sales of professional cleaning equipment. We are represented in more than 40 countries and have sales in more than 100 countries and an annual turnover of 1.028 mEUR (2024). We are currently on a strategic journey from a product-oriented manufacturing company to a customer-driven global solution partner.

Controlling of designated legal entities, and development of Financial Reporting.

The Finance team acts as the shared service centre for Finance for the entities within the specific region. We are responsible for ensuring high quality financial reporting and for the continuous improvement and standardization of the processes.

You will act as financial partner to our UK and Ireland sales entities. This position reports to the Director of Finance EMEA SAP Sales Entities.

Tasks
  • Creation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting

  • Preparation and assistance with the year‑end close and audit related to both group and local statutory reporting

  • Support to and follow‑up with countries on accounting issues

  • Controlling of the financial registrations performed by the bookkeeping department

  • Supporting the PTP and OTC functions

  • Payment processing in SAP and in the banking system

  • VAT reporting

  • Collaborate with stakeholders within UK, Ireland and the EMEA region

  • Implement and measure internal controls. Process optimization

Required skills, competencies and experience
