A fast-growing design company is seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller / Senior Analyst to bring clarity, control, and insight to a dynamic creative business. Reporting to the MD / FD, you’ll manage full financial operations, deliver real-time reporting, and partner closely with designers, project managers and directors to support confident, data-driven decision making.

The Role

You will be responsible for hands‑on financial control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the business. You’ll build and manage dashboards that give immediate visibility of financial performance, project profitability, cash flow, and operational capacity. Acting as a key business partner, you’ll translate complex data into clear insights used by creative and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily financial control, month‑end, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Produce full P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis.
  • Build and maintain real‑time dashboards across key financial and project metrics.
  • Liaise with external accountants on compliance, tax, and statutory accounts.
  • Partner with internal teams, simplifying financial data for non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Support pricing, forecasting, scenario modelling, and strategic planning.
  • Improve financial systems, MIS, processes, Excel models, and automation.
What We’re Looking For

Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).

  • 5+ years in financial control, business analysis or management accounting (SME or project‑led environment preferred).
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling ability; confident with MIS / dashboards.
  • Excellent communicator with a commercial mindset.
  • Organised, analytical, proactive and comfortable in a fast‑paced, creative SME.
