Job summary

Keeler Recruitment in Norwich is seeking an experienced Financial Controller on a part-time basis (27.5 hours per week). You will own the finance function with direct exposure to the senior leadership, the Board and shareholders, while delivering strategic financial leadership in a pro rata arrangement.

You’ll lead budgeting, financial reporting and treasury, ensuring robust controls and timely management information, with a hands‑on, commercially astute approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with experience as Financial Controller or senior finance management.
• Commercially astute, highly organized and able to present financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing and developing a finance team with strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts, audit, VAT and corporation tax.
• Experience with Sage 50/Sage Intacct and finance system implementations.

Responsibilities

Financial Controller

Norwich Part-Time £45,000-£55,000 FTE (pro rata)

I'm pleased to be supporting a growing, values-led business with the appointment of an experienced Financial Controller to join its leadership team.

This is a slightly different Financial Controller opportunity, offering 27.5 hours per week and genuine flexibility, while still providing full ownership of the finance function and direct exposure to senior leadership, the Board and shareholders.

It's a role that would suit someone who enjoys combining strategic financial leadership with a hands‑on approach, taking responsibility for everything from business planning and budgeting through to treasury, statutory compliance, financial reporting and systems development.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the finance function, with responsibility for:

• Leading and developing the Finance Team
• Owning the annual budgeting and business planning process

About You

You’ll be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with proven experience at Financial Controller or senior finance management level.

We’re looking for someone who is commercially astute, highly organised and confident presenting financial information to senior stakeholders. You’ll need experience managing and developing a finance team, alongside a strong technical understanding of statutory accounts, audit, VAT and corporation tax.

Experience within property, development, construction or housebuilding would be advantageous, as would experience with Sage 50/Sage Intacct and finance system implementations.
