Job summary

Otto James Consulting has identified a need for a Financial Controller to head up the Mergers & Acquisitions team within a leading UK .Com organisation. This is a pivotal role, reporting to the Group Commercial Controller, building a finance function from the ground up and delivering world-class MI and cash management.

Qualifications

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
• Educated to degree level ideally with a 2.1 or above

Otto James Consulting has been selected in an exclusive process for one of the UK’s leading .Com organisations, as we look to secure the services of a talented Financial Controller to head up their Mergers & Acquisitions team and support the groups growth.

A fantastic opportunity for a driven and growth-oriented Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in the senior leadership teams and to build a finance function from the ground up, creating a world class team.

Reporting directly to the Group Commercial Controller, the successful Financial Controller will be responsible for:

• Overseeing day-to-day financial operations
• Overseeing month end reporting and group MI reporting
• Supporting the leadership with analysis and insight for operational and strategic decision making
• Lead the financial planning cycle
• Overseeing all cash and working capital management, including maintaining a robust cash forecasting framework
• Building, refining and automating back office processes, and maintaining strong financial controls

The Profile of the ideal candidate will be a pragmatic and driven, detail-oriented, and with a bias for action and delivery.

• Be a self-starter, happy to deliver across a broad spectrum of activity and take on new challenges, with limited supervision

• Have a mix of small and large company experience, given the need to manage the business at its current small scale, but drive towards a much larger-scale future state
