We are looking for a Financial Controller with experience of working in FCA Regulated Broking/Trading environments.

This role provides experienced accounting & co-ordination on a variety of key finance operations for a significant number of the UK businesses and overseas legal entities within the Group.

The person in this role will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of all day-to-day finance operations for all assigned legal entities, including management reporting and statutory accounting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the CFO in leading the UK finance function, identifying ways to increase efficiency and growth opportunities.
  • Lead and develop a team of assistant accountants to ensure all reporting requirements are met and provide support and guidance to help develop team members.
  • Oversee end-to-end finance operations for in-scope entities.
  • Refine and develop an internal capital and risk assessment (ICARA) process for non-interconnected investment firms and non-SNI firms.
  • Transaction reporting.
  • Responsible for timely production of monthly management accounts and related management information, including P&L, balance sheet & cash flows for in-scope entities.

Requirements:

  • Professional finance qualification in either ACA / CIMA / ACCA.
  • Strong technical financial experience, preferably within a complex global company.
  • Proficient in producing, understanding, and interpreting complex/technical information clearly and concisely for both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing a deep understanding of financial results, including P&L drivers, balance sheet results, business metrics, and other key trends.
