Job summary

A financial services firm is seeking a Financial Controller to manage Trust Accounting and Reporting. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely preparation of financial reports, managing billing processes, and maintaining accounting records. Ideal candidates will have strong computerised systems knowledge and a solid understanding of financial report preparation. Candidates must be based in Guernsey and hold a Resident Working Permit.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a strong understanding of regulatory environment in Guernsey.
  • Experience in group Trust Accounting and Reporting is essential.
  • Ability to manage billing processes and maintain accounting records.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of service is provided to the management team.
  • Plan and prioritise preparation of financial reports to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in control of debtors and preparation of financial reports.

Job description

Our international banking client are seeking to appoint a Financial Controller, to work in their Trust Department.

Your responsibilities will include group Trust Accounting and Reporting, to ensure that a high level of service is provided to the management team, plan and prioritising the preparation of financial reports to ensure that all deadlines are met, managing the billing process, assisting in the control debtor, maintaining accounting records, and preparation of financial reports.

Your qualifications and skills need to include strong knowledge of computerised systems, strong knowledge of the preparation of financial reports and statements, good communication, organisational and presentation skills, knowledge of the regulatory environment in Guernsey, an understanding of accruals and prepayment concepts, and ledger skills are key for understanding credits and debits.
