Job Summary

All Service One (ASO) is the company's integrated after-sales business that includes Service, Part Sales, and Complete Bus Refurbishment. ASO is critical for the company's growth - not only does it provide customers with the service that they need to keep their fleets operating at peak effectiveness, but it also is an opportunity to grow revenue. The business is complex with operations in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Hong Kong and needs an operationally focussed Finance leader to ensure that the sales and profit objectives are achieved in the right way.

Key Tasks Summary
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Provide a consolidated view of the ASO business across the different sectors and geographical operations.
    • Deliver detailed financial performance reports, including variance analysis and KPIs, to senior management on an appropriately timely cadence.
    • Provide insight into financial trends and opportunities to support commercial decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
    • Manage rolling forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities to key stakeholders.
    • Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for business growth initiatives.
  • Cost Management and Profitability:
    • Oversee cost and inventory controls across parts and service operations and refurbishment.
    • Conduct profitability and margin analysis for key service lines and product offerings.
    • Implement strategies to optimise costs while maintaining service standards.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls:
    • Lead monthly accounting close process for ASO businesses.
    • Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements, including VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax.
    • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for the year-end audit and resolve any recommendations.
  • Business Partnering and Leadership:
    • Collaborate with operational teams to drive financial discipline and support strategic goals.
    • Provide financial guidance on capital investment projects, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Systems and Process Improvements:
    • Ensure financial systems and processes are robust, efficient, and scalable.
    • Drive process improvements, including automation of reporting and transactional tasks.
    • Evaluate and recommend financial tools to enhance reporting accuracy and timeliness.
    • Active engagement in roll-out of future ERP system into All Service One.
Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years PQE.
  • Experience of having influenced senior leadership as a finance business partner essential.
  • Up to date computer skills including MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of BI and reporting tools.
