A dynamic manufacturing group in York and North Yorkshire is seeking a high-impact Financial Controller to join their flagship site. This role involves full ownership of the financials while partnering with senior leadership. Ideal candidates are CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager. The role offers a salary range of £55,000–£65,000 DOE along with a discretionary bonus and car allowance.

Qualifications

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Previous experience at Financial Controller/Finance Manager level.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, retail, engineering or FMCG sectors would be advantageous.

  • Effective communication with a proactive, commercial mindset.

  • Leading the finance team - fostering development and accountability.
  • Acting as a true business partner - visible on the shop floor, collaborating with HSE, Sales, and operational stakeholders.
  • Supporting internal controls, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Representing the site at board level alongside the MD.

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity for a high-impact Financial Controller to join a dynamic manufacturing group at their flagship site.

This is not your typical FC role. It’s fast-paced, hands-on, and deeply embedded in the business. You’ll be partnering directly with the senior leadership team at board level, presenting to the board monthly, and playing a pivotal role in driving performance and strategic decision-making.
