Role details

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their rapidly expanding business in Coventry. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for growth and increased responsibility within the business as the team expands. The successful candidate will have full ownership over the finance team, working closely with company directors to maximise profits and make key strategic decisions.

Responsibilities of the Financial Controller
  • Collaborate closely with company directors to analyse financial performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies to maximise profitability.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring timely submission to senior management.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital requirements, and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making across the business.
  • Lead the preparation for internal and external audits by maintaining robust controls and documentation throughout all financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including VAT returns, corporation tax submissions, and other regulatory filings as required.
