Financial Controller

Based: Preston

Salary: up to £80k + bonus + benefits + progression

Exclusively working with a rapidly expanding PE backed business offering fantastic opportunity for a progressive FC/Head of Finance to join the team. Business are experiencing huge growth as they embark on their expansion journey, requiring a Financial Controller to join and have responsibility for all finance across 3 entities (including opening new & future acquisitions over the next few years).

This is an excellent role to oversee all financial operations, leading a team of 2 staff initially and acting as a key business partner to local MDs and supporting their strategic growth plans

Role:
  • Oversee all management accounting, reporting, and control activities for European entities
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis & performance commentary.
  • Partner with local Managing Directors and operational leaders to drive financial performance & margin improvement
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes for the region.
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll (external), and General Ledger.
  • Manage team of two to ensure timely and accurate production of transactional finance duties
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve automation, and enhance reporting
  • Work closely with Group CFO and PE investors on driving growth and working towards strategy
  • Support M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration into group over the next few years
Experience:
  • CIMA OR ACA Qualified (industry experience essential)
  • Multi-entity experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience within a growing SME environment essential
  • Strong leadership & communication skills
  • Experience overseeing all areas of operational finance including team management
