Job summary

Wild Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to join a growing international business. Reporting directly to the Director, you will lead a small finance team, own the month-end process, and drive improvements across finance systems and controls.

You will produce management accounts and financial analysis for senior leadership, manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting, and oversee overseas supplier payments as part of a multi-currency operation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional.
• Strong accounting knowledge and day-to-day finance operations.
• Experience in internationally trading business with overseas suppliers and cash flow planning.
• ERP or accounting systems experience in manufacturing/distribution environments.
• Qualified by experience or formally qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA).

Responsibilities

Ready to take ownership of a finance function and make a real impact?

We're looking for a hands on Financial Controller to join a growing international business. Reporting directly to the Director, you'll lead a small finance team, drive improvements across finance processes and systems, and provide the financial insight needed to support business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the day to day finance function and managing a small team.
• Producing management accounts, reports and financial analysis for senior leadership.
• Managing cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Strengthening controls, improving processes and driving efficiencies.
• Supporting the ongoing development of the Odoo finance system.
• Managing the financial aspects of an international supply chain, including overseas suppliers, advance payments and long lead-time purchasing.
• Working closely with external accountants and key stakeholders across the business.

What we're looking for

• Experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance professional.
• Strong accounting knowledge and experience running day to day finance operations.
• Previous finance experience within an internationally trading business is essential. You'll understand the challenges of overseas suppliers, advance payments, cash flow planning and managing long lead times.
• ERP or accounting systems experience, ideally within manufacturing, distribution or product-based environments.
• A confident communicator who can influence stakeholders and provide meaningful commercial insight.
• Qualified by experience, part-qualified or fully qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA).

Nice to have

• Odoo, Xero, QuickBooks or Sage experience.
• System implementation or migration experience.
• Stock, inventory, import/export or multi-currency experience.
