Sheridan Maine is excited to be supporting a highly respected and growing business as they continue to scale, they are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join the leadership team.

This is a key role within the finance function, a mix of strategic partnership and hands‑on delivery, and an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to progress toward Finance Director level.

About the Role

Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance operation and play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy. From ensuring accurate reporting and compliance to driving continuous improvement and supporting growth initiatives, this is a role where you’ll see the tangible impact of your work.

Your remit will span:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a small but capable finance team.
  • Delivering timely and accurate management reporting and performance analysis.
  • Overseeing financial controls, audit, tax and statutory reporting.
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycle and providing strategic insight to the leadership team.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to inform commercial decisions.
  • Driving process and systems improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Working alongside Treasury and other teams on cashflow management and funding requirements.
  • Acting as a key deputy to the Finance Director, gaining exposure to investor relations and strategic projects.
