Pay: £80,000–£90,000 + Bonus up to 20% + Healthcare + Car Options + Hybrid Working

Forge Talent is recruiting a Financial Controller for a leading global manufacturing group expanding its European footprint through acquisition activity. This hybrid role is based from their Cheshire hub.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller looking to progress to Finance Director level. A succession plan places promotion within 18–24 months. You will play a key role in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support the group’s continued growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the European Finance Director (UK-based).
  • Lead and deliver consolidated financials across multiple European entities.
  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Support a finance transformation programme, including Power BI implementation and integration of acquisitions onto D365.
  • Conduct variance analysis, trend reporting, and scenario modelling.
  • Partner with the SLT and executive team to present insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with the European Finance Director on acquisition integration, aligning accounting procedures to group standards.
  • Maintain full compliance with all relevant reporting requirements and tax obligations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Strong leadership skills, able to influence and deliver at all levels.
  • Proven experience in senior finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations.
  • Experience working within complex, multi-entity and international environments.
  • Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle).
