Job summary

SF Partners is working with a rapidly growing, privately owned group to recruit a newly created Financial Controller position in Warwickshire. You will take day-to-day ownership of the finance function and help build the financial infrastructure to support the next stage of growth.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead a team of three Management Accountants, own budgeting and cash flow, develop dashboards and KPIs, and ensure lender reporting and strong financial controls

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Strong management and financial reporting experience.
• Experience improving finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Ability to partner with senior operational and divisional leaders.
• Experience managing and developing a finance team.
• Experience in multi-entity or project-led environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for the finance function.
• Production of monthly consolidated management accounts.
• Ownership and execution of the annual budgeting process.
• Development and maintenance of rolling forecasts.
• Management of the financial audit and tax processes.
• Development of system-generated reporting, dashboards and KPIs.
• Ownership of the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast.
• Ensuring compliance with lender reporting requirements.
• Management and development of a team of three Management Accountants.
• Working closely with divisional leaders to improve their understanding and ownership of financial performance.
• Partnering with the Finance Director to improve systems, processes, controls and the wider finance infrastructure.

SF Partners is working exclusively with a rapidly growing, privately owned group to recruit a newly created Financial Controller position.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will take day-to-day ownership of the finance function while playing a key role in developing the financial infrastructure, systems and reporting required to support the next stage of growth.

The Role

The Person

We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is comfortable operating in a growing and commercially focused environment.

You will ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Strong management and financial reporting experience
• Demonstrable experience of improving finance processes, systems and reporting
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• The confidence and credibility to business partner senior operational and divisional leaders
• Previous experience managing and developing a finance teamThe ability to create, shape and develop a newly established role
• Experience working within a complex, multi-entity or project-led environment would be advantageous
