Financial Controller | Warrington & Hybrid | ACA - Practice Trained | Progression Opportunity

Axon Moore is partnering with a high-growth business in Warrington to appoint a Financial Controller.

This role suits an ambitious ACA-qualified accountant, ideally a second-time mover from practice, seeking to make a strong impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the central finance function, overseeing Group Treasury, Payroll, month-end and statutory reporting, HMRC compliance, audit, and taxation.
• Manage a small team, ensure accurate, timely group reporting and deliver meaningful financial insights.
• Drive improvements in processes and controls, enhancing efficiency and the reputation of the finance function, while working closely with senior management and supporting the Group Finance Director on strategic projects.

Qualifications

• ACA-qualified accountant, ideally a second-time mover from practice.
• Excellent opportunity for a first-time Financial Controller stepping up from a Finance Manager, Financial Reporting, or Senior Management Accountant role, or for an existing FC seeking greater autonomy.
