Alexander Daniels are partnering with a successful, multi-site business to recruit an ambitious Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team based on-site in Grantham.

This newly created role reports to the Finance Director and focuses on financial control, FP&A and team leadership, shaping reporting and supporting strategic decisions for the group.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience.
• Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Experience within a multi-entity or multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across multiple business units.
• Develop and maintain robust financial models covering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Produce and present insightful management information to senior leadership and board stakeholders.
• Partner with operational leaders to analyse performance, challenge assumptions and drive profitability.
• Deliver detailed performance reporting, KPI analysis and variance commentary.
• Oversee month-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals and VAT returns.
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations across a multi-entity group.
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting, systems, controls and finance processes.
• Support and develop members of the finance team while helping foster a culture of accountability and high performance.

Alexander Daniels are partnering with a successful and growing multi-site business to recruit an ambitious Financial Controller to join its expanding finance leadership team based on-site in Grantham, Nottinghamshire.

This is a newly created role, driven by continued growth across several divisions of the business. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, improving reporting, and providing meaningful commercial insight to support decision-making.

The position combines financial control, business partnering, FP&A, and team leadership, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys turning data into actionable business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across multiple business units.
• Develop and maintain robust financial models covering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or possess equivalent experience, with a proven track record in Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior FP&A positions.

• Advanced Excel capability and strong systems experience.
• Previous people management or team development experience.
• Manufacturing, distribution, logistics, automotive, engineering or operationally-focused environments.
• Power BI, Jet Reports or similar reporting tools.
• Experience supporting growth, acquisitions, integrations or business transformation projects.
