Financial Controller | Property Development & Investment

3 – 4 days per week | Gloucestershire (hybrid potential)

An established, property development and investment group is seeking a Financial Controller to provide both hands‑on and strategic support to the business owners.

With a proud heritage spanning decades, the company has evolved into a recognised player within the sector—delivering high‑quality, bespoke developments nationwide.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in guiding the financial performance of a growing, asset‑rich group with multiple entities and a substantial property portfolio.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Directors, you’ll take ownership of the group’s accounting operations—overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting, while supporting strategic decision‑making. The position will suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys combining detailed financial control with forward‑looking analysis and business partnering.

Key Areas of Focus
  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts and financial reports
  • Oversight of cashflow, budgeting, and project costing
  • Management of property portfolio finances including debt, loan, and revenue tracking
  • Development and implementation of financial controls and process improvements
  • Supporting strategic planning through data‑driven insights and variance analysis
About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (approx. 3+ years PQE)
  • Proven experience within property, construction, or related sectors
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with confidence advising owner‑directors
  • A proactive, modern approach to financial management and systems
