Overview

A financial services organisation based in Chippenham is currently recruiting a Financial Controller to join their team on a 12-month basis.

This role is to help manage the business during a period of structural/ownership reorganisation and is an excellent opportunity for anyone happy to commit to a contract position.

Responsibilities

• Managing a team of five, overseeing the month end process
• Produce a full set of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Ownership of year end and statutory accounting
• Assisting with the audit process
• Providing Group with required accounting information for reorganisation
• Ensuring company compliance with financial services accounting regulations
• Ad hoc project accounting work as requested by Group

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a professional accountancy qualification and have worked at a similar level of seniority previously. Financial services background an advantage but not essential.
