Outstanding ACA/ACCA Financial Controller opportunity with a Warrington based, rapidly expanding, £25m t/o Business Services Company that's on track to grow to £50m in the next 3 years. Joining the business in a new role created to meet the evolving demands of the businesses, you will report to an (off site) Group FD, with a remit including:

Responsibilities
  • Managing a finance team of 3 (Finance Manager + 2 PQ Accounts Assistants)
  • Overseeing operations across Group Treasury, Payroll and month end reporting
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks within the financial function
  • Group consolidation for 6 UK subsidiaries
  • Statutory year end accounts preparation
  • Presenting group level financial results
  • Group variance analysis with commentary
  • Flash reporting
  • Preparation of the month end reporting packs for the Board
  • Management Accounts for your own business subsidiary
  • Annual budgeting and periodic reforecasts
  • Cost centre analysis and reporting
  • First point of contact for auditors
  • Ongoing development of financial controls and processes to meet the evolving demands of the group
  • Group VAT reporting
  • Assisting with wider Group tax compliance
  • Overseeing the Group payroll process and reporting, including subcontract CIS returns and P11Ds
  • Leading the annual audit
  • Corporation tax computations
  • Weekly monitoring and forecasting of group cashflow
  • Intercompany Accounting
  • Supporting the financial analysis and integration of future acquisitions
Qualifications

Applicants should be fully Qualified, practice trained ACA or ACCA professionals, ideally a second or third time mover who has already gained experience in industry at Accountant, Finance Manager or Financial Controller level. As well as having the technical finance expertise to fulfil the remit of this role, you will also have the gravitas and people skills required forge strong relationships with multi‑site management and stakeholders at all levels to board level. You will be ambitious with a hunger to add value/make a difference and capable of progressing to Finance Director in time. Experience of Sage Intacct, SimPRO or other job costing ERP systems would be advantageous as would experience gained within the Facilities Management, Business Services or Construction sector, or similar.

A salary of £60-70k is complimented with benefits including 25 days holiday, 3% Pension, Healthcare and on‑site parking. This role is office based (no set hybrid working format) but with a degree of flexitime around core hours and the option to work from home several days a month as sensible/necessary. Applicants must have full and indefinite eligibility to work in the UK (through being a UK citizen or having gained ILR) and must live within a sensible commute of Warrington.
