Job description

Henderson Scott Finance and Accounting are working with a practice in Derbyshire to appoint a Financial Controller. This is a newly created role to join a medium sized practice reporting into the Director.

The team are growing, the practice manages accounts limited companies across a range of sectors, from smaller owner managed businesses to complex group structures.

The Role

You’ll take a key leadership role, managing both our UK transactional team and an offshore team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of financial reporting. You’ll also oversee monthly management accounts for several larger clients, with plans to expand this area of the business through 2026/2027.

Your Profile

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong people management skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement and business growth.

circa £75,000 + benefits
Location: Derby (hybrid - 3 days in office)
